The Rule of Life
1.
To try conscientiously to follow the teaching of Jesus Christ.
2.
To attend the service of Holy Communion regularly in accordance with denominational custom and to try to attend a Service of the Church on Sundays.
3.
To make time for daily prayers and to teach our children to do the same.
4.
To pray for the Guild and to give it active support by helping the Church and Chaplain according to our ability and local needs.
The Guild Prayer
O Lord Jesus Christ,
who by thy Cross didst triumph over death,
and by thy Resurrection didst open unto us the Kingdom of Heaven;
bless, we beseech thee,
the Guild of St Helena
and us the members in our work, and grant that we may ever rejoice in the hope of eternal life;
through thy grace, who with the Father and the Holy Spirit, livest and reignest,
one God, world without end.

Amen
"God forbid that I should glory save in the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ"

The Guild of St Helena was founded on 28th March 1875 by Mrs Florence Malet, wife of Major G.E. Wyndham Malet, to promote Christianity amongst women connected with the Army. This was approved by the Chaplain General.
