Royal Peculiars and Chapels Royal
A “peculiar” is a church not under the jurisdiction of the local bishop. A “royal” peculiar is a church that is either under the direct authority of the Crown, or is closely associated with the monarchy in some other way. The most common form of royal peculiar remaining is the Chapels Royal, although the most famous is Westminster Abbey.  Here are the others:
The Collegiate Church of St Peter Westminster (Westminster Abbey)
Chapel Royal, HM Tower of London
Chapel Royal, St James's Palace
Chapel Royal, Hampton Court Palace
The Queen's Free Chapel of St George Windsor Castle (St George's Chapel)
The Queen's Chapel of the Savoy
The Royal Foundation of St Katharine in Ratcliffe

Oxford and Cambridge Choral Foundations
King's College, Cambridge
St John's College, Cambridge
New College, Oxford
Magdalen College, Oxford

and definitely NOT

The Royal Memorial Chapel, Sandhurst which is certainly Royal, and may in the eyes of some be peculiar but does not qualify as a Royal Peculiar.
